Small tales and tall tales
During Covid lockdown in 2020, I directed, storyboarded, illustrated and animated a 10-episode interstitial series for ABC kids. Each episode combined one Australian kids’ true story with fantastical fiction to explore a positive social behaviour.
We gathered stories from kids all around Australia and asked them to draw pictures of their characters and props.
We wanted to make sure we were staying true to the soul of each of the kids’ artwork
so we kept the final artwork and animation simple and honest.
